Health: Resisting chocolate was hard. It had me questioning whether white chocolate was really chocolate. I also rationalized that I had to eat that chocolate chip cookie - what kind of mother would I be if I didn't eat a cookie my kid baked? I didn't walk nearly as much as I said I would. I can do better.
Kids: I did make an effort to slow down and listen more. We played more games. It was fun. It was a subtle difference, but a good start. I also "unplugged" and didn't miss it as much as I thought I would.
Husband: I started strong and lost steam as the week got busier and busier with work and kids. I need to find a way to keep my energy going after 9 PM. Any tips?
Spending: I went to Walmart and only bought items on my list! I used coupons and rebate apps. I feel really good about that. Look under saving for a post with more details on this.
Bonus: Advocate for Dyslexia: I read a few chapters of a book. It's an interesting book with a different view of Dyslexia, but this is not enough progress for one week. I'm going to have to take this one up a notch.
How about you? What worked? What didn't? What was easy and what was hard? Let's head into week 2 determined with a renewed commitment to creating our own better tomorrow.
